Robert James Gier

Biography

Rob Gier is an English–Filipino footballer who currently plays as a right back or center back for Ascot United and the Philippine national football team.

He was called up to play for the Philippines in March 2009 to participate in the 2010 AFC Challenge Cup qualifiers in April. He then made his international debut in the 2010 AFC Challenge Cup qualification match against Bhutan on 14 April 2009.

Acting as co-captain on most occasions, he has led the team by example from the back line in the 2012 AFF Suzuki Cup and the 2014 AFC Challenge Cup qualifiers.
